I don’t know how this happened, but I was updating my Xorg server, util and catalyst driver. All of a sudden I’m doing forced repairs on partitions due to non-continues drive errors.
Since I was so stupid to add gdm to my DAEMONS array I got stuck at black-screen on boot-up without the possibility to set runlevel 3 from GRUB. Had to run Arch Linux Live CD, do some rescue mounts(# mount /dev/sd3 /mnt/rscu). After that I was able to boot, but got stuck on disk check - and that’s where e2fsck /dev/sda1-4 comes in.
Seems to work now after an hour and a half of fiddling in the dark. xorg is definitvly still a candidate for my pacman.conf IgnorePkg list.
